‘Mindfield’ still a relatively new video and Anthony Van Engelen’s track is somewhat set aside from those it stands beside (Mikey Taylor’s Dinosaur Jr. and Jason Dill’s Animal Collective for instance). Adolescants and their featured track match Van Engelen’s skating style; raw, fast and great technical flair for those willing to pay attention to it. The almost militaristic staccato of the rolling snares heighten Van Engelen’s speed fulfilling the desired tempo. Upon first viewing, by the time we see Van Engelen’s over the handrail 50-50 and the song fades, it feels like a freight train has crashed into you at full force – oddly, much like how some of the obstacles skated in this section may have felt.
