‘Misled Youth’ – a first full length feature for many and most likely watched on a copy of (of a copy) on VHS, a video that would eventually be rinsed time and time again. Toy Machine, under the Tom Yeto umbrella at the time had an ad feature in Zero’s classic. The Modest Mouse track, ‘Shit Luck’, playing alongside quick cuts and aggressive skating only served to flatter. Surprising how an advert can inspire videographers, an intense forty seconds with so much squeezed in and the chaotic sound of ‘Shit Luck’ setting the tone for those wanting to see and hear more. A track that has become synonymous with the short trailer and for many, is a landmark skate tune.
